We need Christmas because the world is broken, filled with people searching for something to make them feel whole. The peace of God—the peace that surpasses understanding—is the only thing that can bring true completeness, and that peace comes through union with our Creator. We all ask ourselves, Why am I here? What’s my purpose? We collect things, go through the motions, but none of it fills the emptiness. True fulfillment is found in returning to our source, the One who gives us meaning and purpose.
